I went to see an amazing movie yesterday. It was super enjoyable and while I was waiting for the theater to be cleaned before going in I overheard a conversation downstairs between two employee's. It went loosely like this...
Guy "I think I am over water. Drinking it."
(My thought's exactly)
Guy "Yeah, well ice water anyway."
Girl "Yeah, I know."
Guy "It just takes so much energy to drink it that it is not really worth it. I waist all my energy that I would have gained from it just drinking it."
Guy "So it is not worth it. Ice water, you might as well skip it because if you drink it you are more dehydrated when you are finished because of all the energy you waist drinking it."
Girl "You are right, your lungs have to work so hard."
Seriously? This was one of the silliest conversations I have heard. I did not see the two individuals, so I cannot hold this against them in the future, nor draw any conclusions based on their looks. My best bet is the guy is a 20 something guy who thinks too much and that is where he waists his energy. And the girl may have not thought much about anything except the guy, and thinks that whatever falls from his lips is golden truth, no matter how little sense it makes.
See good think I sat down to write in my new little notebook...you would have missed out on one of the random moments of my day.
In case you yourself are wondering if there is any reason to be concerned about drinking ice water rest assured there is not. Unless you cannot afford to loose calories. That is right my friends due to the stupid conversation I did minimal research and discovered that in fact drinking 8 glasses of Ice water a day you can burn up to 70 Calories. So if you did that everyday for a week you would burn 490 Calories. Not really a great diet plan, but wouldn't hurt. Might make up for some other more enjoyable beverage. Though when I drink 8 glasses of water a day I have very little room for an enjoyable drink.
